Love God. Love Each Other. Love The City. Change The World.
Our Mission
Love God. Love Each Other. Love The City. Change The World.
What We Believe
Glad Tidings San Francisco is a founding church in the Assemblies of God. Our doctrinal statements can be found here. But the single most important thing at GT is not whether or not we agree 100% on every point of doctrine; the most important thing at GT is a Person – and His name is Jesus. If you want to get to know Him, to be on the journey of learning to love, serve, and follow Him, you’re in the right place.
Our Values
Discipleship
Discipleship is the journey of continual transformation by which we become more and more like Jesus.
2 Cor 5:17, John 8:30-31, Matt 4:19
Generosity
Our time, talents, treasure, knowledge, and experiences all come from God, and we have been entrusted with them to use them for His purposes.
1 Peter 4:10, 2 Cor 9:8, Luke 12:48
Empowerment
We are passionate about moving continually toward our highest potential, where all of our God-given gifts are fully activated.
Luke 10:1, Acts 13:2, Ephesians 4:11-12
Mission
We join together in response to God's invitation to reveal His love, His character, and His purposes to the world.
Isaiah 6:8, Matt 5:16, Acts 1:8
Character
We choose transparency - no hiding behind curtains. We choose humility - you can't demote a servant.
Titus 1:6-9, James 3:1, 1 Peter 2:15
Honor
God made you in His image and valued you at the cost of His Son. You deserve to be affirmed and treated with dignity, period.
Romans 12:10, Phil 4:8, 1Cor 13:7
Communication
Healthy relationships require that we listen to understand, honestly express our needs, and embrace the hard conversations.
Prov 18:21, Matt 12:24, Ephesians 4:29
Wholeness
Joy enables us to persevere - we represent God best and live most fully when we steward our emotional, social, intellectual, physical and spiritual lives.
Proverbs 4:23, Luke 10:27, Mark 6:31-32
